What is an NMLS number?
An NMLS Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (and Registry) identification number is simply the unique identifier assigned to every registered Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) allowing consumers to search for Mortgage Loan Officers by the NMLS ID # and gain information about the Mortgage Loan Officer.
NMLS is the legal system of record for licensing. It is the official and sole system for companies and individuals seeking to apply for, amend, renew and surrender licenses managed in the NMLS. It was created by the Conference of State Bank and the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators. The system has been built and maintained by FINRA (Financial Industry Regulator Authority).
NMLS streamlines the licensing process by providing a centralized and standardized system for mortgage licensing.
First National Community Bank's NMLS number is 412555.
